Olympian Lauren Tamayo Joins Dēp Slēpwear As Brand Ambassador

World-class cyclist and TeamUSA #olympic Silver Medalist, Lauren Tamayo has done a lot of winning over the years. And now, she is winning sleep as the new ambassador for Dēp Slēpwear, according to Founder Glenn Paradise.
Tamayo is a former professional cycling champion and the 2012 Olympic Silver Medalist in Women's Team Pursuit. Now living in Asheville, NC, Tamayo continues to pursue a healthy lifestyle at a more laid back pace on the trails and roads of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Paradise says, "We're thrilled to be able to partner with Lauren. She is exactly the type of person we want to align with - she's a champion athlete who leads a healthy, active, lifestyle, and has a high level of respect for her sleep. And perhaps most importantly, she's an authentic person in every way."
Paradise explains the concept behind Dēp Slēpwear as, "More than just comfy sleepwear, this is a sleep solution where every design element, every stitch, every thread of material has been engineered to improve your sleep."
Originally inventing the now patented sleep hoodie to fight his own battles with insomnia, when Paradise learned that roughly 50% of the world's population suffers from sleep deprivation, he was driven to help others.
"It's a high honor to be helping Olympians like Lauren, as well as other pro athletes and teams in every major sport, perform better through better sleep." Tamayo says, "I'm getting 30 more minutes of deep sleep per night. It's pretty amazing."
"Sleep has had a bad rep for eons." Paradise admits. "But elite athletes and their coaches know that better sleep leads to better performance on and off the field of play. It's even been said that sleep is the most potent legal performance enhancer available."
About Dēp Slēpwear: Developed over time, and across a wide variety of sleepers, the patented Dēp sleep hoodie is purpose-built for deep sleep, providing comfort for body and mind. A built-in sleep mask is padded and positioned to block both light and sound, and breathable materials wick away moisture to help you stay dry and asleep throughout the night.
